Amendment No.: 0001
Solicitation No.: 36C24126Q0820
Date: September 10, 2026
Purpose of Amendment
The purpose of this amendment is to provide responses to questions submitted regarding the solicitation. As a result of these questions and responses, the response date will remain unchanged.
1. Question: Please provide the tank capacity, leak locations, and severity details for the water storage tank repair.
Answer: See the name plate in the appendix (Attachment) for all data. The tank capacity is 265,016 gallons.
2. Question: Tank Capacity: How many gallons does the tank hold? For reference, our records indicate various systems in this area ranging from 125 to 1,000 gallons.
Answer: See the PWS in the Solicitation. There are at least two leaks noted on the upper and lower third of the tank. The bidder is responsible for adhering to the PWS. The VA does not anticipate the repair team requiring more than one to two days from the exterior to correct.
3. Question: Leak Location: Where on the tank are the leaking seams located?
- Additional Details: Any further information regarding the severity or nature of the leaks.
Answer: The contractor is responsible for determining where the leaking seams are located. The lowest seam leak produces a spurting stream, while the higher seam(s) produce drips. The leaks are not readily characterized beyond this observation.
This repair must be assessed and repaired only by an OEM‑authorized servicer. The seam leaks must be repaired from the exterior using OEM‑approved materials, with authorized repairers using products such as those attached to spoon‑feed them.
