CLARIFICATION OF ALTERNATES AND REVISED SCHEDULE OF PRICES SHEET
DATE: July 17, 2026
RESPONSES DUE: Friday, July 31, 2026 at 11:00 A.M.. CST
This addendum provides clarification on the proposal alternates and a revised Schedule of Prices
sheet to match the alternates listed.
CLARIFICATIONS:
The construction drawings are titled "New Outdoor Terrace for Glencoe Village Hall." These are
the drawings for the "South Entrance Rehabilitation Project."
No Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled, however all areas related to this project are public
access exterior locations. Bidders are encouraged to visit Village Hall located at 675 Village
Court and review existing conditions at any time. Questions should be submitted per the
instructions on the notice.
ALTERNATES:
Alternate 1 "Base Bid" - South Entrance Rehabilitation
Alternate 2 - Double Entry Door Replacement
Alternate 3 - Fire Bay Driveway Replacement
Computed Total Base Bid - Summation of All Three Alternates
Contract award will be made based on the Computed Total Base Bid inclusive of any Alternates
selected. The price for all Base Bid items shall be included in the Computed Total Base Bid.
Alternative Bids may be deducted from the Computed Total Base Bid, if they are rejected, prior
to Contract award being made.

OWNER reserves the right to accept or reject any Alternatives to the Computed Total Base Bid.
Should OWNER wish to consider Alternatives listed, Bidder may be required to provide
additional information prior to Notice of Award.
Example:
Alternate 1 Base Bid - South Entrance Rehabilitation = 5$
Alternate 2 - Double Entry Door Replacement = 3$
Alternate 3 - Fire Bay Driveway Replacement = 4$
Computed Total Base Bid - Summation of All Three Alternates = 12$
Award of all Alternates = $12
Award of Alternate 1 & 2 = $8
Award of 1&3 = $9
*Alternate 1 will always be part of the award

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS
SCHEDULE OF PRICES
A. LUMP SUM PRICE CONTRACT
Contractor should submit pricing for the base bid items and supplemental unit prices in
accordance with the bid form (or a lump sum price if indicated on the bid form). Bidders' prices
are to include the delivery of all materials; including plant, equipment, supplies, tools,
scaffolding, transportation, insurances, bonds, warranties, and all other items and facilities, and
the performance of all labor and services, necessary for the proper completion of the work
except as may be otherwise expressly provided in the Contract Documents. Bids shall not
include federal excise tax or state sales tax for materials to be incorporated in, or totally
consumed in the prosecution of, the work. An exemption certificate will be furnished by the
Village upon request of the bidder.
The Village reserves the right to award in part or in whole, or to not award, whatever is
deemed to be in the best interest of the Village. The statement of quantities is based upon the
best information available at the time of bidding, and the actual units constructed may deviate
from those listed in the statement of quantities.
