RFP# 25-0722 - PRE-QUALIFIED GENERAL CONTRACTORS FOR THE ADDITION & RENOVATION FOR GAINES ELEMENTARY

The Clarke County School District is inviting qualification statements and proposals from Pre-qualified
General Contractors for the Additions & Renovation Services for the Gaines Elementary School project
located at 900 Gaines School Road, Athens GA 30605. Competitive Cost Sealed Proposals will be received
by the Clarke County School District in the SPLOST Office located at 145 Paradise Blvd., Athens, Georgia,
30607, until 1:00 PM on August 7, 2025.
This project will consist of approximately 26,738 square feet of new single story construction, also includes
phased renovation of the existing building (69,943 sf), site work, soccer field, basketball court and is
anticipated to start construction in September 2025. The proposed budget is $19,000,000.
A mandatory Pre-Proposal conference will be held at the Clarke County School District, District Service¿s
Building at 145 Paradise Blvd, Athens Georgia 30607, in the Nutrition conference room (2nd Floor) on July
22, 2025 at 10:00a.m.
Response to Qualification Statements will be due on July 16, 2025 at 1:00PM at the Architects office (LPB).
Companies submitting qualification statements will be notified via email as to whether they are qualified
or not qualified. A disqualified proposer may request via CCSD email (gilbreathj@clarke.k12.ga.us) as to
the non-qualifying determination.
Once Prequalified, Bidding documents may be obtained by email from the Architect, Lindsay, Pope,
Brayfield and Assocs. Inc., 344 West Pike Street, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. Upon request, Documents may
be obtained electronically by email: biddocs@lpbatlanta.com. Proposers will be given access to the
Architect¿s Dropbox link where Drawings and Specifications may be downloaded at no charge. Documents
