FROM THE CITY OF MITCHELL WASTEWATER LAGOONS

A single contract is being solicited by the City of Mitchell to trap and remove minnows from the Wastewater Lagoons located in Sections 1-102-60 and 6-102-59 on the Hanson/Davison County line. The City will disclaim any and all rights to the trapped minnows and the successful proposer may sell or dispose of the same as they deem prudent.
A single proposal will be accepted. The successful contractor shall be able to produce a Liability Insurance Policy with a Single limit $500,000 Liability coverage for any damage to the City’s property.
In addition, a waiver of Liability against the City shall be executed indemnifying and holding the City harmless for any injury or damages the Contractor may incur while working on City Property.
Successful proposer’s operations and equipment shall not impair the operation of the City’s Wastewater Lagoons, including irrigator’s intakes and equipment.
The successful proposer shall follow all state and federal guidelines for baiting and shall be in full compliance with the South Dakota Game Fish and Parks Department. Traps may be distributed between Cells No. 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. The City has recently completed wastewater improvements where Pond Cells No. 3 and 4 were lowered and does not guarantee that any minnows remain. By submitting a bid, proposer acknowledges, agrees, and assumes the risk that no minnows remain in the pond to be removed.
Proposals shall be for a period of three (3) seasons, beginning April 1, 2026 and ending March 31, 2029. The City reserves the right to extend the contract and shall be made on a copy of this notice as follows:
