Solicitation Summary

The purpose of the Child Abuse Medical Providers (CHAMP) Initiative RFA is to seek a contractor to administer the CHAMP Initiative statewide pursuant to the Maryland Health General Article §13-2201-2207 and to implement strategies to prevent  child abuse and neglect; and address racial disparities by carrying out activities such as recruiting, maintaining, and expanding experts in child abuse and neglect to form the CHAMP Faculty and Network, ensuring that Child Advocacy Centers (CACs) in Maryland have access to medical evaluation providers, expertise, and support so that all children in Maryland who are victims of abuse or neglect needing expert medical evaluation have access to a qualified healthcare provider with specialized training; and to prevent child abuse and neglect.
