Description

harvest units. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials (except for government-furnished

property identified in clause 140), supervision, transportation, equipment, supplies, and perform

all work necessary for tree cage construction and placement in accordance with the

specifications, provisions, and clauses of this solicitation and any resultant contract. This work

is necessary to prevent deer browsing and ensure proper regeneration of preferred trees.



In units 14, 25, 27, 28, 29, and 22 tree cages shall be constructed out of 5 foot (60-in.)

tall welded wire. Cages should use a 6-foot long piece of wire and be 2-feet in diameter.

Two fiberglass stakes (3/8-in diameter and 5-feet in length) will be used hold the each

cage in place. All planted hardwood seedlings in these units will be caged.
