Description

IGI&S support for improved shared situational awareness and decision making across the various echelons of military hierarchy including individual level, installation level, and management headquarters level. Support includes technical assistance for PACAF, AFIMSC/Det 2, NAFs, Main Operating Bases (MOBs), Collocated Operating Bases (COBs) and reach back support to military personnel at FOLs within the US Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR) as well as a surge capability to quickly respond to wartime, contingencies and manmade or natural disasters. Support also includes maintaining an Enterprise Architecture to store, disseminate geospatial information, and integrate authoritative business data for authorized users. Enterprise Architecture consists of the hardware, software [Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) or custom], and several processes and must be structured for responsiveness, agility, standardization, and system availability. As GIS technology changes, the Contractor provides personnel and software applications/tools to fulfill the client’s need to keep their GIS systems state of the art to best satisfy mission requirements. The IT aspect of the GEO program is vital to the installations core warfighting mission resiliency and redundancy during disconnect operations in contested environments.
