Invitation
Qualified individuals, firms or consortiums are invited to submit a sealed proposal to the Town of Breckenridge (hereinafter referred to as “TOWN”) to provide construction services as outlined in this document for the Asphalt Maintenance Services – Asphalt Patching Project (“PROJECT”) for the TOWN.
The Town is seeking proposals from qualified Asphalt Patching contractors to perform demolition and removal/disposal of old asphalt, subgrade work, and installation of new asphalt at three locations in Breckenridge, CO. Old asphalt can be disposed of on Town of Breckenridge property without charge to the contractor. Please list each locations individual cost and a total cost for all locations. The TOWN may or may not complete all locations in CY 2026.

The Contractor will also be responsible for all Traffic Control and aspects of Traffic Control before and during the project. Contractor must explain their projected timeline for exactly how long the rec path will be closed for demolition and asphalt installation. Specifically, successful bids will explain the duration of time when the rec path will be closed and not repaved. The Town prefers for the rec path to be closed and without new pavement for as short as possible.
The Contractor must provide specifications on the grade and ratings of asphalt proposed to be used for all locations. The Town wants the rec path to be poured back at 4” thickness. The contractor shall be responsible for proper shouldering of the new sections of asphalt.
Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the site before submitting proposals. Each site is marked with pink marking paint at boundary points.
The purpose of this solicitation is to bind a competent, experienced consultant into a formal Agreement with the TOWN to perform the work described in the Request for Proposals. Contact Steve Worrall at stevew @townofbreckenridge.com , of the Town of Breckenridge Public Works Department with any questions. Please complete a site visit before contacting the Town. If any questions are received, a bid addendum will be posted by 06/30/2026 at 5:00pm. Bids received after the advertised closing date will not be considered for this project.
This invitation should not be construed as a commitment of any kind on the part of the TOWN, nor does it commit the TOWN to pay for any costs incurred in the submission of a proposal package, nor for any costs incurred prior to the execution of a formal Agreement.
Bidders are advised that the bids are subject to public disclosure under Colorado Law and will not be treated as confidential. All materials submitted become the property of the Town and may be made public in whole or in part at the discretion of the Town with two notable exceptions. Information marked confidential such as trade secrets and references shall be treated as privileged information and confidential commercial information under the Colorado Open Records Law.
