Wellesley Square Improvements Engineering Design Services

The  Town  of  Wellesley  Board  of  Public  Works  invites  proposals  from consultants  to  provide engineering services to advance the design of the Wellesley Square Improvement Project from concept to Final Design. The PROJECT includes the four-traffic light-controlled intersections

listed below, along the project corridor.

1. Washington Street and Wellesley Avenue

2. Washington Street and Cameron Street

3. Washington Street, Central Street and Grove Street*

4. Central Street, Railroad Avenue and Crest Road (Not Signalized)

5. Central Street and Weston Road

In general, the project will include restoration efforts within the Square, curb extensions as depicted on the Concept Plan, ADA compliant reconstruction of sidewalks and curb ramps along the corridor roadways. The PROJECT will also include the construction of crosswalks and the upgrade of street lighting.

A pre-submission Zoom meeting briefing will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 1:00 PM. Attendance is not mandatory for the submission of a proposal in response to this RFP but is recommended.
