Invitation for Bids
PARKS LAWN MOWING AND LEAF & DEBRIS CLEAN UP
The Town of Shrewsbury in Massachusetts invites sealed bids for
Parks Lawn Mowing and Leaf & Debris Clean Up
which shall include mowing and trimming at various locations in Shrewsbury. All contractors must submit bids in conformance with this Invitation for Bids and the related specifications which shall be available online at https://shrewsburyma.gov/bids and also in the Town Manager’s Office at 100 Maple Avenue in Shrewsbury (phone: 508-841-8508). Town Offices are open Mon, Wed, Thu 8:00 AM-4:30 PM; Tue 8:00 AM-6:30 PM; and Fri 8:00 AM-12:00 PM.
The awarded contract shall be for a term of three (3) years. The timeframe for the work to be performed shall be as follows: year one shall cover the period of April 15, 2025 through December 17, 2025; year two shall commence on April 15, 2026 and end on December 17, 2026; year three shall commence on April 15, 2027 and end on December 17, 2027. Years two and three shall be subject to the appropriation of funds.
Bid prices for each year shall not exceed $50,000.
Bids will be received in the Town Manager’s Office at 100 Maple Avenue in Shrewsbury, MA until 11:00AM on March 12, 2025, at which time they will be opened publicly and read aloud.
Bids must be sealed and marked “
Parks Lawn Mowing and Leaf & Debris Clean Up
”
with the bidder’s name and address clearly noted.
A bid deposit in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid shall accompany the Bid and be made payable to the Town of Shrewsbury.
The Town reserves the right to waive any minor informalities in the bids and to reject any and all bids if it shall be deemed in the best interests of the Town to do so.
