A WOSB sole-source contract was awarded on December 23th, 2024. The contract is designated to provide support necessary for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 9 and the State of California to help direct property owners through several of California’s state funding programs for Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) cleanup sites. The UST Cleanup Fund (USTCF) allows UST owners and operators to be reimbursed for reasonable and necessary site investigation and remediation costs. The Orphan Site Cleanup Fund (OSCF) program allows subsequent property owners that did not cause or contribute to a release to receive site assessment or cleanup grants. The Emergency, Abandoned, and Recalcitrant (EAR) Account allows local cleanup agencies to nominate sites for state- funded contractor assistance. For USTCF, OSCF and EAR, applicants or sites must meet strict eligibility criteria and provide documentation at the time of application or nomination. For USTCF and OSCF, property owners often need substantial help to gather documents proving eligibility and to complete the application itself. For EAR, local cleanup agencies often benefit from substantial assistance to document that a LUST response qualifies as an Emergency, a site qualifies as Abandoned, or the responsible parties qualify as Recalcitrant.
The period of performance for this award is twelve (12) months.
