| Project Title: | Sustainable Transportation Funding Strategies | ||||
| Background: | The State of Nevada has committed to greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets through Executive Order 2019-2022, as well as Senate Bill 254 in the 2019 legislative session. These strategies will include transportation electrification and a reduction in overall transportation energy use. The state must find a way to balance our goals with respect to climate change and reduction in GHG emissions, with the critical needs of our transportation sector. The DEPARTMENT intends to create a robust and inclusive working group to include other state agencies, elected officials, and stakeholders to evaluate and recommend potential sustainable and equitable transportation funding strategies. | ||||
| Project Scope: | Goals of the plan- The DEPARTMENT is seeking support in meeting the diverse transportation needs of the state which will include, but is not limited to, the sustainability of State Transportation funding, the ability to collect, manage, analyze, and distribute those funds, as well as developing and implementing legislative strategies, and taxation analysis. See RFP for full Scope of Services. | ||||
