Description: Binghamton University is seeking a qualified contractor to perform interior demolition and renovation work associated with the critical maintenance renovation of the Science III Building on the university campus. Demolition work includes but is not limited to removal of interior partitions, exterior windows and doors, flooring, ceilings, all other finishes along with the removal of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems within the designated Phase 1 area. The presence of hazardous material has been detected and identified and will need to be abated according to local, state and federal laws, Work needs to be coordinated to accommodate the occupants that will continue to reside within the building during the demolition process. Renovation work includes but is not limited to reconstruction of offices, labs, conference rooms and toilet rooms, roof replacement, and site development. Phase II work area includes approximately 38,000 SF and phase III work area includes approximately 46,000 SF. Roof work includes approximately 35,000 SF. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday January 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM in conference room C of the physical facilities building. Prospective Bidders must purchase a bid set from nyplanroom.com to be considered a responsible bidder, even if the bidding documents were viewed or obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website and registered bidders will be updated periodically with addenda, list of registered plan holders, reports and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the project. All other official notification, addenda and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner or Engineer will be responsible for bidding documents, including addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website.
