ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County will receive sealed bids online for the 2026
Upper Providence Township Roads Paving Project “A”. Sealed bids may be submitted and
updated online via the PennBid™ Program until 10:00 A.M. local time, Thursday, February 12,
2026.
The project includes providing all labor, equipment and materials to complete the installation of an
asphalt pavement overlay of approximately 35,000 square yards of Superpave Asphalt Mix Design,
Wearing Course 9.5 mm Mix to a 1-1/2” depth, milling the existing surface to a depth of 1-1/2”,
pavement base repairs, replacement of sanitary sewer manhole frames and covers, replacement
of inlet top units, installation of thermoplastic pavement markings and miscellaneous work on Dana
Drive, Buckthorn Lane, Pin Oaks Drive, Willowwood Drive, Crestwood Court, Greenbriar Drive,
Highland Avenue and Oakland Avenue.
The project will also include providing all, labor, equipment and materials to remove and replace
plain cement concrete curb at ADA/PennDOT compliant curb ramps, to remove and replace
concrete ADA/PennDOT compliant curb ramps and to install ADA compliant detectable warning
surfaces.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount not less than ten
percent (10%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the
Instructions to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for the period of days stated in the bid form from
the date the bids are opened. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory
Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount and a
Maintenance Bond in the amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount, thereafter,
required on the specified Bond Forms included in the Contract Documents and Waiver of Lien.
The right is reserved to waive any informality in the Bid, to reject any or all Bids, and to accept any
Bid which is deemed most favorable to the Owner, at the time and under the circumstances
stipulated.
The work in this contract shall be paid for in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage
Act (Act No. 442)
