Sources Sought Notice:
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT request for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time.
This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine the following:
The interest and capability of small business, especially service-disabled veteran owned small business and veteran owned small business.
Whether the business source is a manufacturer or authorized distributor, verified by an authorization letter from the original equipment manufacturer; and
Size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 332321 for the proposed acquisition.

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10 is seeking potential sources for Ligature-Resistant Behavioral Health Doors (28-each), to be provided for the VA Northern Indiana Health Care Systems Marion Campus, (Marion Warehouse, B-55) 1700 E 38th St, Marion, IN 46953. All items shall be new; refurbished/used items are not acceptable.

All goods must meet the following salient characteristics as specified below:

All finishes shall be engineered for heavy use and frequent cleaning using hospital-grade cleaning substances.

All products within each room or space shall have Ligature -resistant design, breakaway hinges, magnetic closure, help maintain patient privacy, customizable graphics / Color to suit any décor, Durable and waterproof, NFPA-286 and ASTM E84 Class A Fire Certification, and artwork shall be printed on both sides of door without additional.

The contractor shall be responsible for taking and applying accurate field measurements to ordered product for verification of correct sizing. Auto-Cad drawings will be provided at time of solicitation and may not be accurate finished dimensions and may not be used in place of field measurements. The Vendor shall be liable for any incorrect field measurements which lead to incorrect product order.
Shipping costs shall be included in pricing of doors
Lift gate is available for delivery
Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition.

(h) Capability statement that addresses the organization s qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below.
This Sources Sought is for VA Northern Indiana Health Care Systems Marion Campus, who have a requirement for new, 28 anti-ligature door systems for the Inpatient Psychiatric Wards located at 1700 E 38th St, Marion, IN 46953.
All contractors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov.
Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for small business status must be registered with the SBA and meet the requirements of FAR 19.102.
Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for veteran owned small business status must be registered with Small Business Search (SBS) at https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/ as an SDVOSB or VOSB.
