Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to negotiate a contract on a single source basis to ADB Safegate, Columbus, OH, for the acquisition of equipment for Facilities and Equipment (F&E) material that will be installed as Generation 2 components at Runway Status Light (RWSL) system equipped airports.





This acquisition will procure the following RWSL equipment:






  • DTHJ2RN0DMF00R0 Takeoff Hold Light (THL) Fixture-GEN 2

  • DREJ2RN0DMF00R0 Runway Entrance Light (REL) Fixture- GEN 2





In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System Paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. ADB Safegate is the only approved manufacturer for this baselined system. The control equipment is designed to interface with the existing installed lighting systems.





A market survey (6973GH-25-MS-00873) was posted to the SAM.gov web site on December 3, 2024 and closed on December 17, 2024. No responses were received in response to the market survey.





The proposed principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 334511, Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing, with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,350.
