Titled: UH 4S Surgical Specialties Space Asbestos Abatement. Until 2 p.m. local time on

where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals may be hand delivered
or mailed to the above location and must be received at such time.
Scope of work: is to include all necessary labor, material and equipment for the abatement
of hazardous materials located in the Upstate Medical University Surgical Specialties Space. The
removal and disposal of asbestos-containing floor tiles, ceiling tile, containing sink
undercoating and associated mastic. The project area is roughly 4,000 square feet. Please refer
to the testing report attached to this document.
All work on this Contract is to be completed within 30 calendar days after the date of the Notice
to Proceed
A site visit to the area where the work is to be performed has been deemed to be necessary to
fully understand the parameters and constraints which affect the preparation of the bid for the
same. A mandatory site visit has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 12, 2025 at 2 PM with
all contractors meeting in the main lobby of University Hospital. All potential bidders are
advised that they must sign a “Site Visit Form” to verify that they have complied with this
requirement of the contract. Failure to fulfill this requirement will disqualify your bid proposal.
Effective 1/1/06, in accordance with State Finance Law Section 139-j, all questions pertaining to

Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the
Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5)
percent of the Total Bid.
It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage

suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy.
The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
