Title: Poverty Lane Isolation Valve Building Project

The project consists of furnishing and installing a 9'-4” x 17'-4” isolation valve building to control the flow of water to the Farnum Hill Water Storage Tank. The isolation valve building will be mounted on a cast-in-place reinforced concrete foundation consisting of frost walls and a slab on grade. Equipment will include a butterfly valve, a flow meter and transmitter, hypochlorite feeding system, chlorine controller, chlorine analyzer, pressure transmitter, telemetry panel, and a power and control panel with a PLC controller. The building will be 2" x 6" wood stud construction, 2" x 8" wood rafters, fiberglass batt insulation, plywood sheathing, red cedar clapboard siding, standing seam metal roof, pine fascia and soffits, and two 36" insulated steel doors with hardware. The isolation valve building will be supplied with two wall mounted heaters, a dehumidifier, ventilation fan and louver, and interior and exterior LED lights.
Additional work includes a primary electric service and transformer, secondary underground electrical service, conduit, and meter box, and communication service and conduit. Site work including interconnections to the existing system, water main, gate valves, copper sampling service, driveway, paved apron, grading, and landscaping.
