This information will carry forward to a contract if awarded, therefore please ensure all information is correct. *************************************************** Used Railroad rail 100 pieces. Number of pieces must not exceed 100 pieces. Except as provided herein, material will conform to all requirements of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, 2019 Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Railroad rails shall be 132 pounds or greater per linear yard. All rails must be steel, straight and structurally sound. Rail lengths shall be specified as per bid (40 ft lengths). The original manufactures rail classification stamped in the web must be legible. The engineer will accept used railroad rails by visible inspection. Delivery will be prepaid to the specified location. KYTC storage lots will be available during normal business hours unless prior arrangements are made with the engineer. Notify the engineer a minimum of 24 hours prior to scheduled delivery. Allow 6 hours for unloading by district personnel. The engineer will measure used railroad rail by linear foot. Vendor shall provide rails with a hole cut near the end of the rail for picking/lifting with a shackle and pin mechanism. 100 pieces (4,000 lft) delivered to Rowan County Maintenance located at 25 W BP Drive, Morehead, KY 40351. Reroll not acceptable.
