This statement is included because the purchase of these items is not being made directly from the manufacturer/ authorized dealer by the Ohio Division of Forestry, and Ohio Division of Forestry needs to have assurance that defect protection and coverage is intact upon receiving the items.
Bidder must provide an estimated delivery date and indicate if any of the requested items are backordered.

Process

Wildland fire shelters size standard/regular and large in specified quantities.
Fire shelters must be manufactured after 2006 by accepted producers Anchor Industries or Weckworth Manufacturing.
Fire Shelters must meet specifications of Forest Service 5100-606.
See attachment for information related to wildland fire shelters that DO NOT meet accepted specification that may seem available. Any delivery of wildland fire shelters not meeting specifications will be rejected without payment.
If bidders cannot meet quantities specified below, quotes for currently available quantities are encouraged and will be accepted. Because of potential lengthy delays associated with manufacturing, backordered items will not be accepted. Bidders must only include items that are currently in stock and available.
