Due Date: 8/17/2026
The City of Pontiac, Michigan (the “City”) is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified landscape contractors to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for the hard and soft scaping of gateway signage at 20 locations around the City, in accordance with the attached engineering plan specifications (Gateway Signage Landscaping Concept, dated 2026.04.06, attached as Exhibit A).
The program comprises 11 small sign beds and 9 large sign beds. Hardscaping with limestone is required only at locations where existing slope requires the bed to be leveled, and shall be itemized separately by location and by linear feet as described in Section 3.5. Proposers shall provide unit pricing per small bed, per large bed, and per linear foot of limestone, together with a price for each individual location, from which the City will derive the total program cost
The City maintains gateway metal signs and monument signs at key entry points along its major corridors. This program provides for consistent, drought- and salt-tolerant landscape beds surrounding these signs, with limestone hardscaping where grades require leveling. Locations are categorized as follows:
All beds shall be prepared with a spade-cut edge, filled with 10–12 in. of plant mix, planted per the concept plans, and finished with 3 in. of shredded hardwood bark mulch. Limestone leveling applies only to sloped locations, as detailed herein and shown on the concept plans (Large Sign on Slope, Option B).
