The information received will be used within Department of Public Works, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, to facilitate the decision-making process and will not be disclosed outside of the organization. Department of Public Works, Fort Leavenworth, KS is seeking current relevant experience, personnel, and capability to work that includes but is not limited to the demolition and replacement of the existing steam boiler and associated equipment in The USDB Prison’s E134 mechanical room. In addition to the steam boiler replacement, the work will also include the replacement of three corroded electrical panels (one 150A MCB and two 600A MLO) and one 45 kVA step-down transformer located in a boiler room. The existing equipment is deteriorating due to direct exposure to steam, chemicals and high humidity conditions. The replacement work will include furnishing and installing NEMA 4X-rated stainless steel equipment to mitigate environmental damage and comply with NEC 110.11 and 450.9.
Location: The site of the proposed work is Building 1140 the USDB Prison, Fort Leavenworth, KS.
The work to be done consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials as well as performing all work in strict accordance with the drawings and specifications at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. All work performed by the Contractor shall result in a complete and functional steam boiler replacement.
The contract to be awarded under this contract will be for construction in Fort Leavenworth, within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction) with a corresponding Size Standard of $45 million.
