Summary
The County of Greenville is seeking sealed proposals on behalf of the Tigerville Fire Department from qualified fire sprinkler contractors for the design, permitting, installation, testing, and acceptance of a new automatic fire sprinkler system in an existing two-story fire station.
Background
The building was constructed around 1990 and does not currently have any type of fire sprinkler system. The project shall include sprinkler protection for both floors, the apparatus bay, closets/storage rooms within the apparatus bay, and all other areas required by applicable codes, or as required by the South Carolina State Fire Marshal. The building does have a fire alarm system. However, after the installation of a sprinkler system, this alarm system will be upgraded to cover the entire station.
The Tigerville Fire Department intends for this project to result in a complete, code-compliant, tested, and accepted automatic fire sprinkler system.
