Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price Firm Fixed Price contract using FAR Part 12 and Part 13 Procedures.



Supply/Service needed: Percussion Music Arranger for the United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps. The arranger will develop the percussion section of the band and the music in motion program for that section, bi-weekly phone meetings for further development, generate and deliver five musical arrangements for the percussion instruments and implement revisions, provide consultation in both Washington D.C., and Yuma, AZ. Generate and deliver five more additional arrangements for concerts that match the instrumentation from the Governement with provisions to follow.



Qualifications Required: Extensive experience arranging and designing percussion music for a championship-level Drum Corps International (DCI) World Class ensemble. Percussion Arranger’s portfolio must demonstrate vast familiarity with a wide range of genres – including symphonic, patriotic, and popular music. Percussion Arranger’s portfolio must demonstrate mastery of both Battery Percussion and Front Ensemble Percussion, as well as a cohesive ability to complement the Drum & Bugle Corps’ Brass Arranger in a variety of styles. Familiarity with industry-standard music notation software Sibelius. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in music.



The Government intends to award on a Sole Source Basis to: Colin McNutt, 14 Laurel LN, Amherst, Massachusetts 01002-2811, under the authority FAR 13.106-1(b), the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available.
