This is NOT a request for proposal (RFP), invitation for bid (IFB), or an announcement of a solicitation as no solicitation package exists at this time. The request is for informational purposes only. No cost data should be submitted. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice or any follow-up information requests. Submittal will not be returned to the sender. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. NAVSUP FLCSD will utilize the information for technical and acquisition planning only.

The Contractor shall be responsible for performing preventative and annual maintenance on the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) to ensure its continued operation in full compliance with the manufacturer’s specified operating standards, this microscope is manufactured by ThermoFisher Field Electron and Ion Company (FEI). The preventive and annual maintenance includes, but is not limited to, all necessary inspections, adjustments, calibrations, and any required repairs to maintain optimal performance and functionality in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. The “DRAFT” Performance Work Statement is attached. The following are some of the required tasks for this contract:
CM performed in compliance with the manufacturer’s specifications to ensure optimal operational performance of the SEM instrument.
This procurement is anticipated to be a firm fixed price (FFP) Indefinite Quantity and Indefinite Delivery (IDIQ) and NAVSUP FLCSD anticipates issuing a solicitation for one (1) base year and four (4) one-year option periods for a total Period of Performance of five (5) years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is anticipated to be 811210 “Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance” and the Small Business Size Standard is $34M.
The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice if this requirement can be set-aside for small business. Interested parties shall submit capability statement in accordance with the draft PWS by the closing date of this sources sought.
