Description View Changes
The purpose of this amendment 0001 is to post the contractor questions and answers.

Q1. Does as-built documentation for the bollards, electrical power unit (EPU), and control panels exist? If so, please provide.
A1. The government is not aware of any as built drawings in our possession.

Q2. Is there an existing Access Control System integration with the bollards? If so, please describe. (Example: Secure limit input, electronic frequency operation (EFO) status input, raise command output, etc.) Please provide any documentation relating to the integration if it exists.
A2. There is the guard shack control and the Security Command Center (SCC) controls. For the EFO the VA does not believe this is currently part of the system

Q3. On the site walk the bollards, the guard shack control panel, and the EPU in the basement were viewed. Are there any other control panels or barrier control interfaces in the bollard system (perhaps in the SCC)? If so, please describe their location, function, and provide a photo.
A3. There is no additional specific control panel other than what was seen during site visit.

Q4. Are any of the bolt holes in the bollard casing (the threaded portion of which retains the top cover plate with bolts) stripped?
A4. The government have not seen any problems with the threaded portions stripped on the covers. The government is planning on replacing these bolts.

Q5. Are the conduit pathways that connect from the EPU to the bollards and the controls clear and unobstructed such that they are serviceable to re-pull cables as needed?
A5. The government does not know of any obstruction in the conduit to prevent anyone from pulling more wires through.

Q6. Is the site aware of drainage issues with this array of bollards? If so, is the reason known?
A6. The drainage system is not working. The north set of bollards has water that collects on the last two (2) bollards to the north of the system flooding the bollard holes. This is the reason proper drainage is requested in the statement of work (SOW).

Q7. What type of drainage system is utilized for these bollards?
A7. There is rock at the bottom of the bollards. As far as a French drainage the government does not know for certain if that this in place.

Q8. For the desired slot cut drainage system, where is the closest sewer/storm drain tie-in?
A8. The closet storm drain is located under the bollard system north of the EPU where the drainpipe can be connected.

Q9. Is the site aware of any issues with the EPU in the basement? If so, please describe
A9. The government is not aware of any issues with the EPU in the basement.
