Description

The USDA Forest Service, Chattahoochee‑Oconee National Forests, requires vegetation management services on the Oconee Ranger District (ORD) and Conasauga Ranger District (CRD). Work includes:




  • Wildlife midstory vegetation control

  • Site preparation (foliar and mechanical)

  • Seedling release and weeding treatments



All labor, equipment, supervision, tools, herbicides, and materials shall be provided by the contractor. No Government-furnished materials or equipment will be provided.



Period of Performance



August 1, 2026 – October 31, 2026



Project Locations




  • Oconee Ranger District (ORD): Putnam, Jones, Jasper, Oglethorpe & Greene Counties, GA

  • Conasauga Ranger District (CRD): Murray & Chattooga Counties, GA



Scope of Work



The contractor shall perform:



Oconee Ranger District (ORD)




  • 457 acres – Wildlife midstory treatment (cut‑surface & foliar)

  • 256 acres – Site preparation (foliar)

  • 26 acres – Site preparation (mechanical)



Conasauga Ranger District (CRD)




  • 174 acres – Seedling release and weeding (basal bark, foliar, manual slashdown)



Total acreage: 913 acres
