APEX Accelerators are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The requirements is for a secure lockout key management system with over 1,100 individual, tamper-resistant compartments controlled by biometric or RFID authentication. The system must allow administrators to assign user permissions, require checkout reasoning, set due dates, and limit the number of keys issued. It must also provide push notifications for overdue or unreturned keys and maintain a full audit trail. A touchscreen interface and integration with 24/7 video surveillance are required, along with a one-year on-site warranty, training, and phone support. The system must be delivered as a single cabinet, with preference for solutions that offer remote monitoring, real-time alerts, and scalability for future expansion.
