Foundational Research to Inform an Approach to Respond to Gender-Based Violence: Stage 1
Synopsis:
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation by the Government of Saskatchewan (GOS) to prospective Proponents to provide Submissions for the provision of RFP # CSWB-009, Foundational Research to Inform an Approach to Respond to Gender-Based Violence in Saskatchewan: Stage 1 as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A).
The Ministry of Justice and Attorney General, Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Branch, is responsible for addressing and reducing the incidences and effects of interpersonal violence and abuse.
Long-term Goal:
The GOS aims to develop a detailed Theory of Change model for Saskatchewan to disrupt gender-based violence. This will occur in three stages:
Stage 1 (this RFP): Service mapping of gender-based violence services in Saskatchewan. The gender-based violence service mapping aims to identify, categorize, and organize the various services available within Saskatchewan that respond to gender-based violence in any capacity. This service mapping will seek to determine the specific scope of services offered to support victims or perpetrators of gender-based violence and create a user-friendly tool that maps them.
Stage 2: Research that outlines the reasons behind the high rates of gender-based violence in Saskatchewan and second identifies trends of gender-based violence in the province and provides geographic mapping of how, where, and when gender-based violence occurs to help identify who is most at risk in a Saskatchewan specific context. The first two stages of the project will ultimately inform the last.
Stage 3: Development of a detailed Theory of Change model for Saskatchewan to inform an approach to disrupt gender-based violence.
