The Jackson County Board of Commissioners will be accepting sealed bids to remove and replace the pedestrian bridge located at Hurricane Shoals Park at 416 Hurricane Shoals Road in Maysville, GA 30558, until Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 2:00 PM. The scope of this work consists of the removal of the existing pedestrian bridge and boardwalk and the construction of a new Pedestrian Overpass Bridge and Timber Boardwalk. At time of bid submission deadline, the sealed bids will be opened and read in the Finance Department Conference Room of the Jackson County Administrative Building at 4965 Jackson Parkway, Jefferson, Georgia 30549. Bids received after the due date and time will not be accepted or considered.
One (1) original and two (2) copies of the Request for Bid must be submitted. A 5% bid bond must be submitted with the bid. Performance and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required if the contract is awarded. The bid bond, payment bond, and performance bond must have an A.M. Best rating of A-10 or higher. Failure to submit a bid bond with the proper rating will result in the bid being deemed non-responsive.
All interested bidders must download the bid package and bid form from the Jackson County web site or at www.vendorregistrycom.
