REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL : Westchester County Farm and Food Community Outreach and Engagement Initiative

The Westchester County Department of Planning invites proposals to develop an inclusive and meaningful community outreach and engagement initiative. This initiative, which aims to ensure a comprehensive update to Westchester County’s 2004 Agricultural Farmland Protection Plan, has the potential to significantly impact our community and the region. The plan update explores how agriculture, food processors and distributors, and well-managed land, can benefit and empower society and the environment, creating a healthier, more equitable and resilient community. A significant component to this initiative will be focusing on engaging our community in this process and building community and economy around agricultural and ecological initiatives. The Community Outreach and Engagement initiative will consist of a comprehensive document and the development and facilitation of initial outreach efforts.
