Janitorial Services at Various City Facilities

In this solicitation, the City is seeking a responsible and professional service provider who can carry out janitorial services for the City's various staffed facilities. The service provider can be expected to provide routine and thorough cleaning services after normal business hours at 10 unique sites. The services shall be detailed in the scope of work section.

The City of Thousand Oaks is located in eastern Ventura County and consists of 56 square miles. The City population is approximately 122,000. The City is a general law city operating under the Council/Manager form of government. The City Council is comprised of five elected members through district-based elections, with one member serving as Mayor on an annual basis.

The Facilities Division manages the master contract for janitorial services at City-owned facilities, totaling over 300,000 square feet in maintained areas. The City utilizes a single contract with a specialized vendor to provide the cleaning services, with a new vendor selected every 3-5 years. City facilities include administrative buildings, theaters, libraries, and public use areas.
