Project Description: Provide all labor necessary to repair the chill water pump as indicated in the plans
and specifications. The proposed work shall generally include removal, disposal and
replacement of the pump’s bearings and seal. Start-up the pump per manufacturer’s
recommendations and perform system checks to confirm proper operations. Submit all
data collected to the university of Hawaii facilities management office, attention:
Carl Oshiro prior to request for final inspection. All work located in the Moore
Hall, UHM.

Special Instructions

ALL bidders are requested to attend a mandatory site walk-through. A site walk through is
scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on Monday February 9, 2026. Contractors shall meet at the
Physical Plant Mechanical Engineer Office located at 2002 East- West Road. Contract
documents will be distributed at the mandatory walk through. Contractors interested in
bidding this work must contact Carl Oshiro through email ( coshiro6@hawaii.edu), facsimile
(956-5979) or phone (956-0479) to confirm attendance by 4:00 p.m. Friday February 6, 2026.
Contractors who DO NOT attend a mandatory site walk-through will not be allowed to bid on
this work. Contractor is required to provide a cost breakdown at time of bid. The
breakdown must equal to the total cost of the bid. If correct breakdown is not provided at
time of bid, the bid may be disqualified.
