Description

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of St. Albert (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Botanic Park Parking Lot - Construction, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).

The work involves successfully upgrading the existing gravel parking lot into a fully paved asphalt parking facility.

Mobilization and traffic accommodation

Topsoil stripping, gravel removal, concrete removals

Excavation, disposal of unsuitable materials, borrow fill, subgrade prep

Reuse and installation of granular base; install new asphalt pavement

Asphalt trail construction

Concrete sidewalks, ramps, curbs, pads, islands, and wheel stops

Catch basins, manhole, storm sewer installation, and tie‑ins

Underground electrical system and new overhead lighting

Landscape clearing, topsoil placement, sod, tree removal/installation, tree protection

Salvage/relocation of existing features (entry feature, wall, curb stops, signs, bike rack, fence gate)

Chain link fence removal and replacement; installation of T‑bollards

Subject to any adjustments in schedule as provided for in the Contract Documents, the City’s desired completion dates are as follows:
