Davidson County, NC is seeking proposals from qualified firms interested in capturing and providing 2-inch aerial Ortho-imagery and oblique imagery to Davidson County. Aerial Ortho-imagery and Oblique imagery would be captured once every two years in a leaf-off state. These images will be provided both as a service and physical delivery, with the imagery being available for use in the County’s public facing and internal GIS web applications.
Specifications for this project can be picked up at 925A North Main Street, Lexington, NC at the Support Services’ Office during regular working hours Monday through Friday.
The public opening for this project will be held at 2:00 p.m., on May 28, 2026.

The Davidson County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and Proposals, and further reserves the right to make the award and/or awards in the best interest of Davidson County
All firms submitting proposals must have demonstrated experience and expertise in 2-inch Oblique and Orthogonal Imagery. The entire County is to be flown in winter of 2027 and 2029.
Negotiated fee for design shall be a fee-not-to-exceed. The Board of Commissioners will allocate the funds toward this Project. A committee of individuals interested in the project may interview qualified firms responding to this RFQ in the 3rd quarter of FY 2026, and will select a firm to recommend to Board of County Commissioners for final approval and award of contract.
The schedule will be as mutually agreed to at the acceptance of the proposal and execution of agreement. In the response to the RFQ, the Consultant should describe the approach to all work and services, and include a proposed timeframe and anticipated completion dates for each element of work required for this project
