This solicitation is being made pursuant to the M/WBE Small Purchase Method, Section 3-08 (c)(1)(iv) of the New York City Procurement Policy Board (PPB) Rules, this procurement is exclusively for the City Certified Minority and Woman Owned Business (M/WBEs). Contracts awarded under this method may not exceed $1,500,000, inclusive of any and all change orders, overruns, amendments, renewals and extensions.

The NYC Department for the Aging is seeking organizations to provide comprehensive, turn-key Automated External Defibrillator (AED) device management, regulatory compliance, maintenance, training, certification, and staff readiness, for approximately 450 AED units located in NYC Aging-funded community-based organizations across the five (5) boroughs (Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island) for a mix of manufacturers and models (Heart Start and FXR).

The objective is to ensure that all AEDs remain in a constant state of readiness, meet all NYS and NYC regulatory requirements, and are properly maintained, documented, and supported. Additionally, to provide NYC Aging staff and contracted service providers with AED/CPR Certification and, as requested and less frequent, Basic First Aid training.
