Addenda: 0
Release Date: 7/17/2025
Due Date: 8/28/2025
Dane County is inviting proposals for professional commissioning services (CxP) for the Dane County Elections Center / Clerks Office project, currently in the design phase with design services led by Wold Architects and Engineers. Commissioning services will begin during the construction phase and will focus on system start up and final commissioning.
Dane County purchased the former Ale asylum facility at 2002 Pankratz Street in Madison, Wisconsin, to convert it into a centralized Elections Center. The existing 45,000 square foot building, built in 2011, includes approximately 30,000 square feet of warehouse space. This project will fully renovate the facility to support office, warehouse, storage, printing, life safety, lighting, controls, and security systems.
The commissioning provider will work closely with Dane County and the team from Wold Architects and Engineers to complete this project through construction and final project delivery. A General Contractor will be hired to construct the project through a competitive bidding process with construction and commissioning phases to proceed contingent upon final budget authority.
The Commissioning Provider will act as an independent third-party consultant and work closely with Dane County Public Works, the design team, and the future General Contractor. The CxP will participate in perform systems verification, functional performance testing and support project closeout and training activities.
