Penn Hills Miscellaneous Mechanical Contract

Project Description: Sealed proposals will be received by the Municipality of Penn Hills, through PennBid until 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024 for the
PENN HILLS MISCELLANEOUS MECHANICAL CONTRACT
Base Bid – Contract A
This project includes, but is not limited to, the following work at the Long Road Pump Station: installation of fixed vertical suction pipe for vac truck connection, replacement of an owner purchased Muffin Monster sewage grinder, and fabrication and installation of new stainless steel wet well gate; the following work at the Lincoln Road Pump Station: rehabilitation of the existing bar screen, removal and replacement of existing pumps; the following work at the Quigley Road Pump Station: replacement of an existing 8” check valve purchased by the contractor on the pump discharge piping, and the rehabilitation of a gate valve handwheel; the following work at the Rodi Road Pump Station: removal and replacement of the existing 8” gate valve; and the following work at the Plum Creek Sewage Treatment Plant: Removal and replacement of existing chlorine contact tank baffle, in kind and cleaning of the existing chlorine contact tank walls and floor and installation of vehicle bollards.
Base Bid – Contract B
This project includes, but is not limited to, undefined maintenance and repair work to be performed at Penn Hills WPCD facilities during 2025 and 2026. Work will be performed on a hourly basis for labor and equipment and a cost plus fifteen (15%) percent basis for materials, complete in place.
A MANDATORY Pre-bid Meeting will be held on November 15, 2024, at 10:30 AM prevailing time at the Municipal Building, 102 Duff Road, Penn Hills, PA 15235. Contractors who intend to bid on the project MUST attend the MANDATORY Pre-bid Meeting for their Bid to be considered as responsive.
Bidders are advised that the Municipality will award the contract to the lowest qualified, responsible, and responsive bidder. However, the Bidder is advised that the Municipality expressly reserves the right to award to the lowest qualified, responsible, and responsive bidder for the type of work being considered a contract for all or any portions of the work listed in the Proposal, and in awarding a contract for less than the total work listed, or less than all portions of the work listed, the contract price will be determined from the total quantities for each item listed and the unit price bid for each item listed.

All Proposals must be submitted electronically via PennBid (www.PennBid.net), before 3:00 PM prevailing time on Monday, December 2, 2024. At that time, Bids will be opened with results displayed publicly on PennBid.
Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage rates are required to be paid on these Projects.
