Project Description: Chadds Ford Elementary Waterline Extension Project – General (Contract No. UCFSD-24-03). Work includes the construction of a water main along Baltimore Pike (Route 1) for the school to tie into. The Unionville-Chadds Ford School District (UCFSD) will be receiving sealed bids for the Chadds Ford Elementary Waterline Extension Project electronically via PennBid. Sealed bids will be received on or before 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Copies of the Bidding Documents (Project Manuals, Contract Documents and Contract Drawings…) will be available at no cost through PennBid, on November 14, 2024. If there are issues please contact Gary Weaver at the offices of Castle Valley Consultants, Inc, 10 Beulah Road, New Britain, PA 18901 (215-348-8257). A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held at Chadds Ford Elementary School, 3 Baltimore Pike, Chadds Ford, PA 19317 on November 26, 2024 at 2:00 pm. Bids received from any contractor not attending the pre-bid meeting will be rejected. All questions should be submitted electronically on PennBid. Telephone inquiries and paper submissions will not be accepted. The bid must include all costs incidental to the work of the Project. Products shall be prequalified as “equals” for use on this project as is described by the Information to Bidders. Bidder shall meet the standards set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids may not be modified, withdrawn, or canceled within a period of 60 days following the date for receipt of bids without the prior written consent of UCFSD. UCFSD reserves the right to waive any informalities, irregularities, defects, errors, or omissions in any or all bids and to reject any or all bids. Notwithstanding any other provision of the Bidding Documents, UCFSD will have complete discretion to award a Contract (or not to award a Contract) to any bidder based on any criteria UCFSD deems relevant.
