Synopsis:
|
|
Work of this Contract comprises widening and rehabilitation of Shand Road from the Shand Power station access to south of Highway 18.
|
|
Additional Information:
|
|
Work includes but is not limited to:
-Supply, installation, and maintenance of Temporary Traffic Control Devices;
- Removal of existing traffic signs;
- Stripping and stockpiling of topsoil and organics;
- Profile milling of existing asphalt pavements;
- Removal of existing asphalt pavements on the road shoulder in preparation for subgrade notching;
- Rubber asphalt crack sealing of milled surface;
- Notching of existing subgrade shoulders for widening;
- Earthworks, regrading and compaction of notch material to construct subgrade widening;
- Removal and installation of culverts;
- Decommissioning of one culvert;
- Installation of one culvert by boring;
- Installation of geotextile fabrics;
- Installation of sub-base granular materials;
- Installation of aggregate base course materials;
- Installation of asphalt pavements;
- Replacing topsoil and organics;
- Seeding;
- Installation of erosion control blanket; and
- Installation of traffic signs.
The general spirit and intent is to provide a complete job and ensure the facilities are in good working and operable order. The Contractor shall provide all minor products, labour, and services which are reasonably necessary for the performance and completion of the Work.
