Synopsis



This posted announcement is a Pre-Solicitation Synopsis of a proposed contract action in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.207.



The Mission Installation Contracting Command - Fort Leavenworth intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB).



The contractor shall provide all supervision, management, personnel, labor, equipment, transportation, supplies, and any other items necessary to complete The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials to perform all work in strict accordance with the plans and specifications to:



a) renovate and expand an office/conference room suite on Floor 1 from 1,561 SF to 2,294 SF into some open office space.



b) add wood wainscot to three Conference Rooms on Floor 3 and renovate 6 Break Areas on all three levels. This acquisition will require a general contractor with experience and expertise capable of managing numerous task orders at the same time, which will require construction scheduling, cost estimating, quality control, and coordination of subcontractors in a wide variety of construction trades.



This B45 “Beehive” renovation project is to renovate spaces on all three levels as follows:



Level 1 Office Suite - Renovate/expand by enlarging the suite by approximately 740 SF. New work in this area to include approximately, 154 LF of gypsum & metal stud partition walls, 1,820 SF of new 2x2 reveal lay-in ceiling tile and grid, 720 SF new and 200 SF of patched existing (attic stock) carpet tiles, and 900 SF of new add wainscot paneling to the Conference Room, removal of 640 SF (160 LF) of sisal wall covering and gypsum skim coat in the main corridor, 1,600 SF new paint and six (6) relocated single leaf and one (1) new set of double doors and frames.



Level 3 – Two Conference Rooms – Add 564 SF of Wainscot and the replacement of nine (9) new doors and hardware in existing frames, along with the removal of approximately 320 SF (80 LF) of sisal wall covering, then skim coat and painting of same.



Six small Break Areas all 3 Levels – Renovate with replacement of and new cabinetry, wall and floor finishes and lighting, including one in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) area. Workers in this area will comply with Army regulations pertaining to SCIF work. Two kitchenette sinks will be added with minor associated plumbing through the side walls at the end of the cabinets.
