Solicitation Summary
The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) is seeking a Contractor to perform testing and inspection of portable fire extinguishers, fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm panels/related devices, and the Server Room Inergen system for the Potomac Center and Secure Evaluation & Therapeutic Treatment (SETT) facilities located in Hagerstown, Maryland. Testing, preventative maintenance, and flushing of eight (8) facility-owned (non- city) fire hydrants is also required annually. The contract term shall be three (3) years. The Potomac Center and SETT are residential care facilities for developmentally disabled adults who may have co-existing mental disorders. Both facilities are located on a 23-acre campus that includes ten (10) single-story buildings. Each building has its own independent sprinkler system and fire alarm panel that reports to a main fire panel located in one of the SETT buildings (“Cottage 4”). This main fire panel is equipped with a Telguard Cellular Dialer that calls out to a 24/7 monitoring service (Dynamark). The selected Contractor must utilize the current monitoring service (Dynamark) for the life of this contract.
