Gymnasium Equipment Installation

The Town of Agawam is requesting quotes from a qualified contractor the installation of gymnasium equipment at five (5) municipal schools.

The project will consist of:  Removal and disposition of existing basketball backstops and padding, and installation of new owner purchased Porter Athletic Co. equipment at five (5) elementary schools, all of which is described in the attached procurement package.

Quotes should be mailed or emailed to Jennifer Bonfiglio, Chief Procurement Officer, 36 Main Street, Agawam, MA  01001, Email: For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address. and received no later than the date and time specified above.  Proposals must be received before 2:30 PM March 11, 2026.   All quotes must be endorsed with the name and business address of the Proposer and marked "Project # 26-300-001 Gymnasium Equipment Installation".

All contractors should submit pricing using the Form for Quote. The contractor must complete the non-collusion and tax-compliance form. The contract will be awarded to the most responsive contractor with the lowest quote. The person awarded the contract will be required to sign the Town’s Owner Contractor Agreement.  Payment Bond: The successful bidder must furnish a Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the contract price upon execution.

A mandatory Pre-bid Conference/site inspection will begin at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the sites, 1 ^St Granger Elementary 31 S. Westfield Street Feeding Hills MA, 2 ^nd Clark Elementary School 65 Oxford Street, 3 ^rd Phelps Elementary 689 Main Street, 4 ^th Doering Middle School 68 Main Street, 5 ^th Sapelli Elementary School 65 Begley Street.  Contractors may meet at the front entrance.

Proposals are subject to M.G.L. c.149 sec.44A(2)(A) and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 §§26 to 27H inclusive.

The Town of Agawam reserves the right to reject any or all of the quotes if it deems it to be in the public interest to so do.
