The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to establish a Contract with one (1) qualified and experienced Contractor to reconstruct the existing platforms and construct new elevators at the Alexandria Station, located at 110 Callahan Drive, Alexandria, VA 22301, as well as to replace the existing railroad structures over King Street and Commonwealth Avenue, and associated site/civil work.The Alexandria Station Improvements and Replacement of the Railroad Bridges over King Street and Commonwealth Avenue is comprised of two (2) major components รข improvements to the existing passenger station, and replacement of the adjacent structures carrying rail traffic over public roadways. The VRE Alexandria Station is located at the convergence of the VRE Manassas Line and VRE Fredericksburg Line at CSX Transportation (CSXT) Central Division and RF&P Subdivision Milepost CFP-105.19, at 110 Callahan Drive in the City of Alexandria, Virginia.
