Solicitation Summary
The Maryland Department of Health (MDH or the Department), Behavioral Health Administration (BHA), is issuing this Request for Applications (RFA) to provide Visual Communication Services, also known as Interpreter which includes:
a. Interpretation (ex. American Sign Language)
b. Communication Access Real-time Transcription (CART)
These Services will be provided for meetings that may be held virtually, in-person or via hybrid format, that involve MDH Administration staff, BHA staff, and external community stakeholders. The meetings include but are not limited to: Behavioral Health Advisory Council (BHAC) bi-monthly, BHAC Cultural and Linguistic Competency Sub-committee bi-monthly, Commission on Behavioral Health Care Treatment and Access (joint and sub-committees) bi-monthly, Behavioral Health Stakeholder Meetings-yearly (required by the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration-SAMHSA), Community Health Facilities Grant Program-yearly, and other meetings as needed.
