Project Title: “City of Havelock,2025 Gravity Sanitary Sewer Line Replacement”
Description: Objective: Replacement of the Gravity Sanitary Sewer Line Replacement between Manholes MD-6 & MD-7. Scope: The sewer main to be replaced is an 8” PVC SDR 35 Gravity Sanitary Sewer Service at a depth of approximately 13’. The replacement of the Gravity Sanitary Sewer Service shall include the replacement of approximately 420’ of 8” PVC SDR 35 Gravity Sanitary Sewer Main Pipe, contractor to verify. There are nine service laterals entering the 8” Gravity Sanitary Sewer Service, the deepest depth being approximately 13’, see figure 2. Each service lateral shall be rebuilt a minimum of 6’ back into the service. The contractor shall abide by all OSHA standards, including Shoring Safety. The Safety Shoring shall be designed for worker safety and to eliminate any undermining and excavation growth. Within the contractor’s quote there shall be a cost itemization sheet breaking out cost for each portion of the project, such as but not limited to mobilization, traffic control, bypass pumping, sewer main line repair, dewatering, safety shoring, fill material, and pavement restoration, see figure 7 for the itemization sheet. The nine laterals within the 420’ of Gravity Sanitary Sewer Main to be replaced are the services from 310 - 318 McDonald Blvd. The service laterals shall be rebuilt 6’ from the Gravity Sanitary Sewer Main Line. See figure 2 for lateral locations. All traffic control, bypass pumping, dewatering, pavement restoration, concrete restoration shall be the responsibility of the contractor and shall follow all specifications within this Scope of Work. During the course of this project all driveways shall remain accessible to residents. The asphalt utility cut shall be approximately 5,040 square feet, 420’ X 12’. The concrete restoration shall include a minimum of four concrete driveway aprons which are approximately an average of 250 square feet each, see figure 4. Additional concrete aprons or concrete sidewalks which are damaged during the course of this project shall be the responsibility of the contractor to replace before the completion of the project. Asphalt Pavement and Concrete Apron restoration must follow the specifications for asphalt and concrete restoration. See sections 9 & 10 and figure 3 & 4.
