Description
The Town of View Royal is requesting proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide a Drainage Master Plan Update. Much has changed since the Town's 2017 drainage plan including continued development and informed land use planning (Small Scale Multi Unit Housing, 2025-2026 OCP Update), the importance of climate change considerations, emphasis on improving methods in protecting and enhancing the Town's Urban Forest, and improved and updated asset data.
As a result, the purpose of htis project is to (1) Provide an update to the 2017 plan, (2) Recommend updates to design criteria to bring the plan to current standards including climate change considerations, (3) Recommend changes to the Town's Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw 985 related to drainage, (4) Identify areas of hydraulic and structural deficiencies, (5) Identify potential naturalized areas that could act as a natural asset and mitigates the upsizing requiremetns of the Town's built system, and (6) Recommend short and long term programming on the Town's drainage assets.
