TDOT Safety Accessories
Objective
The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is seeking a contractor to provide high
visibility safety accessories to TDOT Locations across Tennessee. This contract supports TDOT's
safety initiatives by ensuring consistent access to high visibility safety accessories for all
employees. TDOT intends to award a five-year agency term contract to a single vendor for the
purchase of these items on an as-needed basis.
Specifications:
The selected Contractor shall provide high visibility Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for employees
working on roadways or facilities where they may be exposed to highway traffic, moving vehicles,
flagging, nighttime operations or moving power equipment. The items listed below in Attachment 4
are representative of TDOT's needs; additional items consistent with the scope of this contract may be
added during the contract term if required.
Samples Required - Respondents are required to submit samples of each of the listed products
before bid closing date. Products indicated as including logos may be submitted without the logo.
Logos - Logos shown in Attachments 1-3 are provided for reference purposes only and are not to
scale. Final logo standards will be shared with the awarded vendor. The awarded vendor shall
implement periodic logo modifications as required by TDOT.
Delivery/Logistics
The selected contractor shall serve any location statewide. Delivery shall be made within 2 weeks (10
business days) of the selected contractor's receipt of an Authorized Purchase Order. Delivery charges
shall be part of the unit bid price of the contract items. All orders shall be delivered in full in a single
shipment; partial shipments or back orders are not allowed.
