Overview

Summary

Three separate guardrails throughout the City of Palo Alto have been damaged and are in need of repair. Two have been damage with vehicular strikes and one due to concrete spalling and environmental exposure. This project is to demolish and remove the damaged portions of these guardrails and reconstruct them using updated designs and materials. Sections of concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter will also need repair and reconstruction as a part of this contract.

Background

These guardrails provide vital safety to pedestrians and vehicular traffic on these roadways. Repairing/replacing these damaged sections are a high priority to ensure the continued safety of the public.
