INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS FOR BUFFALO DRIVE AT PEBBLE ROAD, BUFFALO DRIVE AT WIGWAM AVENUE, AND TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS AT GRAND CANYON DRIVE AND SUNSET ROAD

The work to be performed for this project at the intersection of Buffalo Drive and Pebble Road includes the removal and construction of pavement; along with the removal of concrete tack-on islands and concrete tack-on curb. The existing Portable precast concrete barrier rail is to be removed, existing streetlights are to be removed and replaced with new streetlights, along with traffic signal and ITS infrastructure. Traffic signs and pavement markings are to be updated as well.

At the location of Buffalo Drive and Wigwam Avenue the removal and construction of pavement is to be performed. There is currently concrete tack-on islands and concrete tack-on curb that is to be removed. Sanitary sewer manholes are to be vertically adjusted. Work also includes the installation of riprap. Existing drainage structures are to be removed and constructed. Guardrails, streetlight assemblies, streetlights and appurtenances are to be installed as well. There will be an update on traffic signs and pavement markings.

The scope also includes the construction of a fully operational traffic signal system and appurtenances at the intersection of Grand Canyon Drive and Sunset Road which will consist of removal and salvage of designated items, concrete tack-on median, pavement markings & markers, ITS infrastructure, fiber optic cable, video & radar detection, detection loops, pull boxes, traffic control, dust control, and other miscellaneous improvements as shown on the drawings.
